He is a great great singer and an excellent guru. The way he sings bhajans...is beyond compare. Since last 3 years i am watching his performances at the Overnite Concerts of SPIC MACAY's National Conventions. He normally sings at the concluding phase. He leaves everyone spellbound, with tears in the eyes. I remember him singing in the Overnite at Kohima, Nagaland. His was the last slot. He started around 5 am. He took us to a different world through his singing. At about 6.30 when he stopped, evryone was motionless, spellbound. and with tears rolling down with emotions, by his last bhajan on Rama.
He is simply great. And Bindhu, your sketches are too good. Good work.
i agree with u 200 %. the singing mettle of guruji is truly beyond compare . although i have listened to him just once but swear till date his voice resonates in my ears and i truly long for listening to him again. can u please tell me if i can find the cd's of him somewhere. that will be a great help. i can say that if there is perfection really exists then ustad abdul rashid khan sahab is the true embodiment of the same!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
